That is a million-dollar question. Contrary to the name, not all peels will cause your skin to peel, every skin is unique and will respond in different ways to the same treatment. Your own skin can respond differently to the same treatment depending on the condition, the season or the time of the month. This can range from dry dull skin to peeling for a few days. Sometimes skin may be a little pink or feel irritated afterwards similar to the sensation of sunburn.

When the chemical peel is applied to the skin you may feel nothing, you may feel some tingling or warmth, some may feel it a little stinging sensation that doesn’t usually last long. The sensation isn’t unbearable but if it feels anything more the peel can be removed and neutralised. This depends on the type of skin peel. It will usually take between 30-60 minutes depending upon the peel chosen.

Your skin will look immediately radiant afterwards. This will usually last 1-2 days and as the exfoliation process begins skin may become dull or flaky. Usually, best results are seen around 10-14 days afterwards.

This will depend upon the reason for treatment. You may only need one to get a lovely smooth even skin texture which is great before an event. If you are treating ageing, pigmentation, acne this may be 3-6 treatments. Usually, 2-4 weeks apart.
